Small Texture Slate

Higher standards since day one

Family Owned

In 2010, a young cannabis-loving couple set out on a mission to create a better edible experience for legal consumers. Scott Palmer and Kristi Palmer were inspired by a visit to a local chocolatier and soon started crafting the first Kiva Bars in their home kitchen. They didn’t realize it at the time, but they weren’t just creating a premium edible product, they were setting the gold standard for the entire legal cannabis industry.

Fan Favorite

In the last decade, our customers’ support has turned our family-owned business into the #1 edibles brand in the country. Today, we are proud to employ 400+ passionate people, and have added Terra, Petra, Camino, and Lost Farm to our happy family of premium cannabis products.

Consistent Quality

Cannabis consumers deserve to know exactly what they’re ingesting, which is why Kiva was one of the first edible makers in the country to self-impose stringent standards for potency, production, packaging and testing. We believe that the principles of consistency, efficacy, and food safety are fundamental to creating a high-quality edible that you can always feel confident sharing with friends and family.

Natural Ingredients

Our commitment to the highest standards in ingredients remains unparalleled throughout our line of products. This includes using locally-grown cannabis, sustainably-sourced cacao, and all-natural flavors and ingredients for a range of artisanal products that are as effective as they are enjoyable.

PRECISE dosing

Consistent, controlled dosing is at the core of each Kiva product. Which is why every bite, bar, gummy, mint, and chew contains precise, buildable doses of THC, so you can always find your sweet spot.

Dedication to Sustainability

At Kiva, we care about the plant, the planet, and all of its people - both now and in the future. Taking responsibility for the impact that packaging waste can have on the environment, in 2021 our team dedicated itself to releasing updated packaging for our Kiva Bars, Camino Gummies, and Terra Bites to deliver more sustainable and environmentally-friendly products to our consumers.

Our child-resistant Kiva Bar carton is 100% biodegradable, using a biodegradable film to make the box tear-resistant, instead of the non-recyclable/non-biodegradable laminations that most cannabis companies typically use.

Our child-resistant Terra and Camino tins are all metal and fully recyclable, a huge improvement to our previous tins, which used non-recyclable plastic inserts.

At Kiva, we believe that it's up to each of us to make changes both big and small in order to create a viable future for us all.

Community Commitment

Since our founding in 2010, Kiva has become an outspoken advocate for this incredible plant and its consumers. We co-found and fund trade organizations to ensure commonsense regulations, develop educational outreach throughout the country, and regularly sponsor local events where you can connect with the professional cannabis community.

The Kiva Cares Project

It's time to put compassion back into cannabis. The Kiva Cares Project is the result of a pioneering effort to ensure that safe, effective cannabis products end up in the hands of people in need. This project is the first to drastically reduce cannabis waste and distribute compliant products to medical cannabis patients at no cost to them. To do that, Kiva is pledging to donate products with minor defects or nearing expiration to put an end to the destruction of essential medicine.

Kiva is partnering with Weed for Warriors and The Sweetleaf Collective to kick this project off. If you are a California medical cannabis patient in need, please follow Weed for Warriors for more information on which dispensaries to find these donated medical goods. "The cannabis industry has the power and potential to serve public health in a unique and revolutionary way," Erika Osueke, Kiva's quality and compliance manager, said. "We are only scratching the surface of scaling the kind of life-changing impact cannabis can have for those consumers who need it most."

Osueke started The Kiva Cares Project after learning how much cannabis product is wasted each year due to packaging defects, being under or over potency, or are soon to expire- despite the fact they are high-quality products that are viable for use and can make a profound difference to medical consumers who lack access and affordability.

"These collective industry efforts will undoubtedly help thousands of veterans and patients access $1.75 million worth of free medical cannabis products through the Kiva Cares Project," Joe Sweetleaf, founder of Sweetleaf Collective, said. "Together, we are saving and transforming lives."

Kiva would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Erika and all selfless individuals throughout Kiva's supply chain that feel it is time to give back and remind others how this industry was legitimized in the first place through medical use. Through this evolving project, we hope to influence our industry to follow suit and give back to those that need it most. No matter your relationship with cannabis, we wish you all the best on your path to wellness.
